The underlying theme of “Tai Kwun In Bloom 2024” revolves around nurturing and educating the public about the exquisite nature that thrives amidst our bustling city and the importance of sustainability.
As the spatial designer for the market, we have incorporated the following design considerations:
– Opened up multiple entrances to enable fluid, interactive and versatile visitor flow, unlike traditional practice with single-way in-and-out.
– Utilised eco-friendly Bamboo as the leading material for booths and decorative planters. All the bamboos used in the event have been 100% donated to a social enterprise in Mui Wo and schools for repurposing and minimizing waste.
– Curated an educational spot to showcase the stories of local floral species to promote nature appreciation.
– Stragised the booth locations and featured the F&B counter as centrestage to achieve entertaining, smooth and enjoyable event experience.
