A newly married young couple has come to us and requested that we design their dream home. The couple has a particular fondness for mid-century and wooden furniture, so we have designed a home around this aesthetic. The clients would also like to evoke an ambience that was prominent in the 1980s and 90s.
“We were both born in the 90s, but we also wanted a bit of Keith’s 80s.”
The clients also desire a versatile home – a space suited for just the two of them, yet also accommodating for the possibility of them welcoming a puppy or even a newborn. Therefore, the balanced use of vibrant and muted colors, as well as loose furniture around the home, may accommodate potential changes in family size in the future.
