Hintegro’s studio is like no other in Hong Kong. Unlike typical offices there is neither a “Boss’s Room” nor partitions or boundaries that hinder communication. The privately owned space consists of one giant desk accommodating four people, and a conference room that makes the most of Hintegro founder Keith Chan’s collection of iconic designer chairs. The studio also includes a bathroom where showers can be taken if work continues through the night; a pantry to fuel the brain and a large library of design books and materials to inspire creativity. The set-up, which Keith believes provides optimum balance between work and leisure, increases efficiency and strengthens the design team’s sense of belonging. Features such as a home theatre, bike-parking space, musical instruments and hot-pot equipment make the studio more than just an office: they inject life into a unique environment that aids Keith and his team develop and deliver innovative ideas that benefit their clients.
